Australian cloud services provider MailGuard says its security, compliance, and real-time risk intelligence-as-a-service solutions have garnered a doubled partner base in the last year. And to further bolster that channel growth, MailGuard has announced that Daniel Benad has taken over as national sales manager. Here’s the scoop.

While MailGuard’s partner growth has currently been limited to its home base of Australia, with all of the 60 new resellers brought on over the last 12 months calling it home, their press release indicates that the company will soon be setting its sights on making channel connections in global markets. It’s worth noting that MailGuard already claims direct sales in 18 countries.

On the home front, the newly-appointed Benad is focusing his efforts on the Australia and New Zealand channel, trying to boost partner revenue by introducing new incentives, cross-selling, and marketing support. As Regional Sales Manager Australia at management software firm Taleo, Benad has some previous experience in monetizing SaaS.

MailGuard certainly faces fierce competition. All the same, doubling your partner base is an impressive feat that speaks for itself.
