Toronto-headquartered Messageware, a Microsoft Gold certified partner, has unveiled the release candidate for Messageware MS Outlook Web App (OWA) for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. The OWA Guard release candidate is now available for downloading; the general release will be available by end of Q2 2012.

Messageware OWA Guard monitors the overall security of Exchange and assists IT to protect a firm’s Outlook Web App by identifying account compromises from unauthorized individuals, automated “brute-force” attacks, phishing, password guessers, man-in-the-middle attacks, and key loggers. Advanced sign-on security is a feature of OWA Guard, and the application can also restrict access based on geographic location.

Messageware was founded in 1993 and services over 2500 companies and 5 million users, including several of the Fortune 50 list in finance, insurance and banking, as well as international, federal and military agencies.

Companies and firms interested in a free OWA Guard software trial can request it on Messageware’s website.
