Microsoft Corp. (Booth #1101) is offering a tutorial and lab on its cloud collaboration services to VARs attending SMB Nation’s 2010 VoIP Workshop, which is colocated with the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, March 1-3, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

In a keynote address 12:30-2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, in Islander F, Dharmesh Singh, business manager for Microsoft Business Online Services, will discuss the software giant’s Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS), a set of Microsoft hosted communications and collaboration solutions delivered as a subscription. This presentation will be followed by a hands-on lab from 2-3 p.m. in Islander G. In this lab, Microsoft’s Jim Glynn, senior content project manager, will demonstrate how to register for a free trial and how to explore the applications in the BPOS suite. He will show how to install the sign-in application, send and receive e-mail via Outlook and Outlook Web Access, collaborate via SharePoint Online and Communicator, and schedule and host a Web conference.

As part of the colocation agreement, full conference attendees of the Channel Partners Conference & Expo can participate in the SMB Nation education programming at no additional charge.
