Global cloud provider OVHcloud has launched its first partner program designed to expand the market opportunity for its infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings.

With the OVHcloud Partner Program, resellers, SIs, system outsourcers and MSPs will offer new OVHcloud solutions and “benefit from providing alternative and lower-cost options to their customers,” the company said. OVHcloud will allow partners to grow their cloud business by bringing infrastructure options including VMware-based hosted private cloud, bare metal servers and/or public cloud.

David Wigglesworth, OVH U.S.’s chief revenue officer, tells Channel Partners that partners can “enjoy a breadth of offerings, with flexibility and agility to scale.”

“This opens new revenue opportunities for partners,” he said. “OVHcloud will also offer resources and support for added business value, including training, marketing and sales-activity planning to ensure partner success.”

The program includes four tiers, giving partners the opportunity to select the level that most aligns with their business goals. Each level provides different resources, benefits and financial incentives aimed at supporting customer and sales needs.

“Companies are clamoring for more options than what the largest cloud providers out there are offering,” Wigglesworth said. “Having an alternative choice is big for customers — we have strong expertise in the marketplace and can provide choices to help businesses scale to do what suits them best, and are able (to) differentiate for each channel. Bigger players are looking to ‘sell into’ their typical structure and aren’t necessarily looking for new customers. Infrastructure is our business. We want customers to focus on their business. We focus on what we do best – the infrastructure – so that they have the freedom to innovate without worrying about their infrastructure solutions. That’s the message that is resonating with our partners and is the feedback we’re getting.”
