Panda is focused on making IT admins lives easier with new functionality that allows for remote access tools to integrate with Panda Cloud Office 5.5. The technology includes a small list of VNC applications that can now connect to any machine, as long as the Panda Client is installed and connected. Our resident blogger was impressed with the number of compatible VNC apps, which include TightVNC, RealVNC, LogMeIn, UltraVNC and more. Panda believes this latest upgrade is an ideal solution for managing and troubleshooting users in remote branches or mobile employees — since it’s all cloud-based, it naturally solves the problem of having to host and security severs, and it eliminates any scalability issues to accommodate expanding or shrinking company sizes.
Panada is also pushing Panda Cloud Office Protection 5.5 as a viable way for managed services providers to offer security services, since the endpoint can be pushed and installed remotely and Panda’s web console can be accessed from any location. Panda Cloud Office Protection 5.5 integrates with the Panda Cloud Partner Center for channel partners, allowing simultaneous maintenance of a customer’s product lifecycles, all while ensuring they’re in tip-top security shape. And yes, all the standard security, analytical and protection features such as group-level protection policies, malware reports and quarantine updates are also available.
Channel partners can dive in head-first and start using Panda Cloud Office Protection 5.5 now. Bonus: Current users of Panda Cloud Office 5.5 can upgrade for free.
