Why do enterprises want hybrid cloud solutions?
Recent data indicates enterprises are becoming more interested in hybrid cloud solutions.
RightScale‘s 2014 State of the Cloud Report of 1,068 IT professionals showed 74 percent of enterprise respondents said they have a multi-cloud strategy, and 48 percent said they are planning for hybrid clouds.
The report also revealed 15 percent of enterprises expect to use multiple public clouds, and 11 percent are planning for multiple private clouds.
RightScale CEO Michael Crandell pointed out hybrid cloud solutions could help enterprises overcome various IT challenges, and as a result, optimize their return on investment (ROI).
“Large enterprises are complex and understandably deliberate in cloud adoption, yet with increased adoption, they continue to unlock more value,” he said in a prepared statement.
