Rise, the infrastructure as a service (IaaS) division of UK-based hosting giant Fasthosts Internet Ltd., has expanded its cloud services to SMBs in North America. And to help them break into the market, they’re announcing their first US partner, too. Here’s the scoop.

As an infrastructure provider, Rise gives their channel partners the ability to roll their own cloud services for midmarket businesses, adding things like e-mail, storage, and web hosting to their portfolio as needed. It’s a strategy they refer to as “Data Center-on-Demand.”

And now to facilitate their North American moves, Rise has tapped Seattle-based service provider Titanium Ant to resell their cloud services.

Rise says their expansion was sparked by their belief that public cloud services would grow to a $55.5 billion industry by 2014. But can the North American channel support another IaaS player?
