Skyhigh, Palo Alto Networks Unveil Cloud Security Integration

Skyhigh Networks, a Cupertino, California-based cloud security software provider, has integrated with network security company Palo Alto Networks (PANW) to provide data visibility, security and governance capabilities for software-as-a-service-based (SaaS-based) applications operating within the public cloud.

The new integration is designed to deliver enhanced cloud security capabilities and enables Skyhigh customers to leverage Palo Alto Networks’ firewall technology.

“We are a very customer-centric company, and the impetus for the integration was demand from our joint customers,” a Skyhigh spokesperson told MSPmentor. “The integration enables enterprises to realize additional value from their Palo Alto Networks’ next-generation firewall technology.”

Skyhigh added the integration incorporates risk-based policies generated by Skyhigh Analyze and Discover.

The Analyze solution helps enterprises identify security breaches and insider threats and analyze usage patterns to understand demand for cloud services, according to Skyhigh. Discover, meanwhile, allows users to better understand the business, data and legal risks of each service.

Skyhigh noted the integration’s Analyze and Discover risk-based policies are enforced by Palo Alto Networks’ enterprise security platform to give users greater control over more than 7,000 cloud applications.
