Security solutions for the modern threat landscape, sold primarily by MSPs. This is what Utah innovator StratoZen is unveiling this week. The company, which has developed information security breach protection since 2000, now comes to fore with a comprehensive, cloud-based solution for helping MSPs launch a security practice quickly.
In addition to its world-class innovations, which leverage enterprise-class security tools to build a comprehensive suite of tools for fighting malware and more, StratoZen promises MSPs everything they need to build a managed-security-as-a-service (MSSP) practice. This includes training and education, research and even content for partner websites.
The brainchild of Kevin Prince, a veteran security expert with more than a decade of MSP experience behind him, StratoZen provides a blueprint for MSPs tasked with helping customers protect their data and applications, improve their regulatory compliance and better manage their IT spending. And it does so in a way that can help partners develop lucrative recurring revenue streams.
StratoZen’s portfolio of offerings include security information and event management (SIEM)-as-a-service, advanced threat detection technology, data encryption and access control, and security consulting.
“MSPs have demonstrated their ability to support and provide for a multitude of customer needs, but security can still be a challenge for many,” said Prince. “We have built a cloud-based solution that MSPs can plug into their business so they do not have to say ‘no’ to their customers’ most critical demands.”
What is more, Prince added, StratoZen’s offering has been built specifically to address the new threat landscape that business practitioners live within today. Guns, guards and firewall perimeters? These no longer provide the protection they once did. In an era in which less than half of security breaches are directly related to outside hacks, customers need more.
For example, StratoZen notes on its website, antivirus tools only block viruses 45 percent of the time. They detect malware just 5 percent of the time. As startling as these data points are, the big picture is even worse: email recipients click on attachments in “phishing” schemes more than 10 percent of the time when they are threatened.
“Good guys in, bad guys out? That’s antiquated thinking in a world where malware can be brought into an organization by an employee’s thumbdrive, mobile phone or email inbox. Big enterprises get this. But SMBs? They are relying on MSPs and trusted advisors for guidance. And today we’re empowering MSPs to offer the same level of protection that enterprise-class organizations enjoy,” said Prince.
