Tigerpaw Software announced the launch of its first software-as-a-service offering in the form of Tigerpaw One, which combines all of the company’s business automation tools and modules under a single monthly subscription fee.
The new offering includes the entire set of core Tigerpaw modules as well as the most popular add-on modules in a bundle priced at $89 per user, per month. Like other SaaS solutions, Tigerpaw is including updates, training and product support for free as part of the packaged deal.
The company also will provide access to its online training program, called Tigerpaw Academy, as well as the Tigerpaw Matrix, a data mining and business intelligence tool that allows users to measure real-time customer data.
Tigerpaw traditionally has sold its professional services automation tools through perpetual concurrent user licenses on a module-by-module basis, with customers able to purchase additional modules as they saw fit. The legacy offering required an initial upfront payment of the perpetual concurrent user licenses and an additional “Livebridge” fee for software updates and technical support, according to the company.
The idea to create a uniform SaaS offering came about after the company realized many of its customers were only purchasing certain parts of their product to save money, which inevitably led to decreased efficiency, according to James Foxall, Tigerpaw’s president and CEO.
“We believe a big reason for the underutilization of the high-end PSAs like Tigerpaw is due to piecemeal purchasing of the product,” said Foxall, in a statement. “Companies tend to try to save money up front by just purchasing what they can immediately use, thinking they will add more functionality later. Inertia sets in and they never complete the process. Tigerpaw One is going to change that.”
All current Tigerpaw customers with perpetual concurrent licenses for individual modules will have the chance to convert to the SaaS subscription for a discounted price, according to the company.
All of the attendee companies at the 2015 Tigerpaw Partner Conference in Nebraska also receive a free 12-month subscription to the new service as thanks for attending this year’s show.
“Having access to all this power and functionality at such a low per-user price point is going to be hugely disruptive in the market,” said James Kernan, Tigerpaw vice president of Sales. “This is something that people have been asking us to do for some time now, and we already have a huge backlog of prospects who have been waiting for this announcement.”
