Here’s a list of the top-performing cloud compute services providers in North America.
GoGrid is a big data multi-cloud solutions provider that was recently acquired by hybrid IT solutions company Datapipe. GoGrid’s US-West-1 data center was among the top-performing North American data centers for cloud compute services, recording two outages that lasted a total of 2.53 minutes over the past 12 months.
Internap‘s AgileCLOUD is an OpenStack-powered cloud. AgileCLOUD’s Dallas data center, meanwhile, performed admirably over the past year, as two outages caused only 1.63 minutes of downtime.
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is one of the world’s most popular cloud compute services, thanks in part to the service’s above-average uptime levels. Amazon EC2’s US-West-1 data center reported only one outage over the past year, which resulted in 1.30 minutes of downtime.
Phoenix NAP Cloud‘s US-East data center includes 72,000-square-feet of space and is operated by data center colocation provider Latisys. This data center maintained near-perfect uptime over the past year, suffering only one outage that lasted 1.25 minutes.
FireHost‘s PHX01 data center has a 5,000 secure cloud server capacity, among other features. This data center also was one of the most consistent over the past 12 months, posting only 1 minute of downtime over two outages.
Vultr is a cloud services provider (CSP) that has a 10 gigabit redundant network of 14 data centers worldwide. The CSP’s Chicago data center was nearly flawless over the past 12 months, reporting only one outage for 34 seconds of downtime.
Which cloud compute services providers have been perfect over the past 12 months? According to CloudHarmony, six companies performed flawlessly:

Google Compute Engine (US-Central1)
Linode Cloud Hosting (Newark)
M9 Systems (Irvine)
Speedyrails VPS (Montreal)
Each of these CSPs, and their respective data centers, recorded 100 percent uptime over the past year.
