Total Defense CEO Paul Lipman says these new enhancements "allow MSPs to offer additional value to their customers."

Cloud security provider Total Defense has added two new cloud-based services to its Total Defense Business platform for managed services providers (MSPs)  — email archiving and data leakage prevention (DLP).

Total Defense said because the offerings are cloud-based they eliminate complexities that come with managing resources required for on-premise email archiving and DLP solutions.

The new cloud-based email archiving solution lets users automatically capture all email communications. Users can also access archived email data for compliance requirements, as well as internal discovery needs, in real time. The offering also features new dashboard views.

Total Defense’s cloud-based DLP solution is designed to replace individual security tools with a single solution and policy.

Total Defense CEO Paul Lipman told MSPmentor that the DLP solution is “deployed pervasively in the cloud across all of a customer’s devices, regardless of their location.”

“A single, unified policy can be constructed to manage an entire company’s traffic with regards to compliance requirements, but also has the flexibility to respond differently to pre-defined situations,” he said.

The security provider’s new cloud-based offerings “allow MSPs to offer additional value to their customers,” Lipman said.

“Delivered via the cloud, Total Defense for Business Email Archiving and DLP provide the flexibility of a subscription service, while at the same time accelerating time-to–value for MSPs and their customers,” he said.

Separately, Total Defense rolled out a new partner program in December to assist MSPs with protecting and managing customer networks, while providing them with a stream of recurring revenue.
