Enterprise-level unified communications as a service (UCaaS) provider Votela launched its Votela Cloud Provider (VCP) offering for VARs and MSPs involved in cloud communications. Votela touts its ability to provide for oversubscription and its “seat/product bundling,” providing a revenue stream for solution provider partners yet retain full control of their subscribers and customers.

“VCP answers the call for the VAR or MSP in need of a customizable, reliable suite of cloud communications that they can easily deploy to their customers, and through which they can develop a consistent carrier-generated revenue stream,” said Adam Cole, Votela CEO, in a prepared statement. “Fifty percent of the profit from UCaaS comes from carrier services. With the right tools, such as those provided by Votela, service providers can easily capture these gains and increase their margins by as much as 100 percent.”

Votela is the only combined carrier and distributor for Siemens OpenScape Cloud Services in North America, and delivers “secure and scalable solutions that are available on demand with custom minute packages for unified communications in the cloud,” enabling its channel partners to deploy Tier-1, carrier-grade cloud services” for its customers, according to the company.

At the end of March Votela trumpeted its deployment, with reseller MSGI Telecom Solutions, of Siemens OpenScape communications into a “national trade industry association located in Arlington, Va.,” including one-number service, voice mail-to-e-mail, click-to-call, audioconferencing, video connections, multimedia web collaboration, mobile desktop and instant messaging.
