Zenith Infotech to Close Doors Next Month

An apparent lame duck for many weeks, Zenith Infotech will officially close its doors next month.

The backup, cloud infrastructure and managed services provider is informing U.S. partners that its operations will come to an end on Oct. 15. This comes after a three-year-long debt crisis. The company has been fighting its creditors in court for a year and a half to no avail, Channelnomics reported.

Beginning now, partners will be able to recover the data that they have stores in Zenith systems. After Oct. 15, there will be no more NOC support. The company won’t charge for services and support through the shutdown date, an email to partners said.

Zenith’s partner recruitment in the U.S. and around the globe began seven years ago – with a focus on managed services. The company later added data backup and cloud infrastructure.

The company sold its hosted managed services arm in 2011 to a private equity firm, which later formed Continuum. In no time at all after the sale, Zenith Infotech defaulted on $33 million worth of debt.
