Zerto has launched a new business continuity and disaster recovery solution running in IBM Cloud to automate all aspects of disaster recovery.
According to an announcement this week, the disaster recovery as a service offering uses Zerto Virtual Replication. Using the dedicated IBM Cloud infrastructure, customers can achieve application recovery time objective (RTO) of minutes and a recovery point objective (RPO) of seconds, Zerto said.
“We are excited to collaborate with IBM since the growth within the disaster recovery as a service market continues to outstrip many other cloud segments,” Zerto president Paul Zeiter said in a statement. “The significance of this space is underpinned by the growing complexity of IT infrastructures and the natural and man-made threats to them, balanced with a mission critical need to protect them to ensure uninterrupted business operations. By offering a solution on one of the world’s leading clouds, organizations are able to significantly improve their business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities and quickly execute their strategies in ways they were never capable of before.”
The service is available immediately across IBM Cloud’s global footprint of data centers.
Zerto will be hosting its first business continuity conference in Boston later this month. Called ZertoCon, the event will bring together a range of speakers in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and technology.
The company launched the latest version of its Zerto Virtual Replication, which features the new Journal File Level Recovery feature which enables the restoration of any file from a point in time seconds before a deletion, virus or data corruption occurred, Zerto said.
