Open source ECM and BPM company Alfresco is expanding its channel presence through a new partner program tailored for businesses seeking standards-based content management solutions.
Alfresco announced the offering, which it’s calling (simply enough) the Alfresco Partner Program, on March 10. The company says the purpose of the program is to “help recruit and onboard global and super‐regional solution providers, streamline the Alfresco OEM program and drive greater focus” with technology partners.
The program provides deal registration, marketing resources, sales tools and Alfresco training. It features three membership tiers.
“We have a growing community of system integrators, software vendors, infrastructure providers and resellers who are building phenomenal solutions with Alfresco,” said Bob Crissman, Alfresco’s Global Channel Chief. “Our new partner program will allow us to more richly reward those partners that are proactively driving their Alfresco business. We built this program to help our partners succeed and the addition of a new Partner Portal is the key to that success. Our goal by the end of 2016 is to have 70% of our business going through our channel partners.”
As partner programs go, Alfresco’s is pretty standard. But it stands out because the company offers a relatively rare product: Enterprise solutions for managing documents and business processes based on open source software and standards. Few other open source companies engage this market. That means Alfresco’s new partner program will create novel opportunities for businesses that want to leverage open source ECM and BPM solutions.
