Certeon Boosts Global Partner Program
July 21, 2010
Certeon, known for their wide area network optimization and application acceleration, is “resurrecting” their global channel partner program in effort to drive resellers into “high-performance and cost-effective WAN” solutions and cloud computing markets. Here’s the update.
About a year ago Certeon popped up on our radar. Now, extensive channel support is the name of the game for Certeon, as they look to deliver a channel program that maximizes profitability for their partners. WAN optimization, among disaster recovery and virtualization markets are part of this new program that looks to enable partners to sell the most cost-effective aCelera (Certeon’s flagship WAN technology) to the latest fast growing markets, like cloud computing areas, and create a last penetration into the markets as well.
Here’s a quick rundown on Certeon’s partner program offerings:
Free technical and sales training
Certification
Deal registration
Service tracking and alerting system
Sales and marketing support
Software demo labs
Partners will have access to three levels of support for their customers depending on their target market, and Certeon believes that their program is flexible enough for resellers to bring enterprise-level WAN optimization to SMBs or global enterprises. Certeon also has a “try and buy” program that helps resellers demo virtualized WAN to their customers. And like most channel programs, deal registration will enable partners to be rewarded and notify for potential sources of reoccurring revenue.
Certeon seems to have a positive outlook as they cite a Gartner statistic showing that:
…worldwide WAN optimization controller vendor revenue in 2006-2014 will total $22.4 billion.
Certeon’s claims that their aCelera virtual appliance solutions are a true alternative to hardware-based WOC solutions, and says that it is overall, more manageable, scalable and cost effective.
