Custom Planning
Client Migration
The three-step program determines what part of a company’s work flow can be virtualized. HP then plans the migration event to ensure maximum productivity during a transition, and finally, makes the migration. HP is also taking great care to ensure the virtualization transition is as cost-effective as possible.
HP has integrated into the service the software features of Lakeside SysTrack, which can provide visibility and tweaking across the entire virtualization environment including physical desktops. Customers can opt for either VMware View or Citrix XenDesktop to leverage Windows 7 VMs. HP has also built a web portal dedicated to the HP Client Virtualization, Analysis and Modeling service, which you can check out here.
Our resident blogger would like to point out: This isn’t HP’s first foray and collaboration on virtualization migration practices. HP recently teamed up with VMware to help companies migrate to SAP on HP’s Converged Infrastructure platform.
