Scott McNealy Dialing President Obama?

The VAR Guy woke up early today and was set to write a blog titled: “What Ever Happened to Scott McNealy?” Sun Microsystems’ former CEO has been awfully quiet lately. Just when The VAR Guy was about to check McNealy’s employment status, a McNealy spotting — involving President Obama — popped up on ZDNet. Here’s the scoop.

During the recession we could all use a little of the IT comic relief that McNealy supplies on a conference stage. So, what is McNealy doing? Turns out McNealy is the head of Sun’s federal operations — the company’s government contracting arm, points out ZDNet. The Web site predicts McNealy (a Republican) will reach out to President Obama.

Hmmm. Could the federal government fall for Sun’s MySQL database?
