TPx, the managed services and connectivity provider, has rolled out MSx Networks, a managed service offering designed to help customers create and maintain network solutions, including Wi-Fi, security, SD-WAN and switching.

As a result, customers can improve agility, lower costs and reduce complexity, while providing a better and more secure user experience across the entire network, according to TPx.

Ken Bisnoff, TPx‘s senior vice president of strategic opportunities, said MSx Networks will allow his company’s partners to deliver a solution leveraging Cisco Meraki technology as part of the growing TPx managed services product portfolio to help meet the needs of their customers requiring a “cost-effective and simple” SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, switching and security solution.

“This important addition has been a leading request from our channel partner advisory boards, as it provides advantages for many customer verticals and business requirements,” he said. “TPx is valued by our partners for being a single-source provider for their customers, delivering solutions with our best-in-class service and support. This solution now expands the range of solutions we can help them design and implement for their customers from a service and solutions provider they have trusted in the channel.”

MSx Networks fills a need at the lower end of the market, Bisnoff said.

“Many channel partners play in this space, or they have distributed enterprise solutions – commonly in retail – that require this package of capabilities at a lower cost than other solutions provide,” he said. “It also offers more than just SD-WAN. Our strength is that with just one provider, TPx can help channel partners select the best technology that meets their needs. MSx WAN (using VeloCloud) will still be the choice for higher-end SD-WAN, just as Fortinet will be the choice for high-end firewall. MSx Networks based on Cisco Meraki combines both SD-WAN and security with Wi-Fi and switching in a simple lower-cost solution.”

Customers requiring improved cloud application performance can subscribe to the MSx Networks managed SD-WAN offering to enable secure optimized connectivity to private, public and hybrid applications without having to address deployment challenges, the company said.

With the addition of MSx Networks, TPx now can extend into the entire LAN either by deploying new equipment for customers or working with the equipment they already have.

“Managed services can help organizations reduce the complexities associated with in-house deployments,” said Raviv Levi, senior director of product management at Cisco Meraki. “Organizations adopting a managed network services model can achieve optimal cost-effectiveness and performance by monitoring, maintaining and managing the solution continuously. Cisco is collaborating with TPx to provide unique technology from Cisco Meraki as the foundation of TPx’s managed network services offerings. Now customers can get the benefits of managed network services for all of their networking requirements with a proven cloud-managed solution that is simple and easy to deploy.”
