A pair of new distribution partnerships will give new groups of channel partners access to products and services they might not have sold previously.
The first team-up is between dinCloud and CDW. The tech distributor’s partners can now sell dinCloud’s Hosted Virtual Desktops (HVDs) and related cloud services, including servers and storage.
Specifically, the products include: dinServer, dinCloud’s hosted virtual servers that provide their own data center, including a firewall, private virtual server, network and storage; dinManage, dinCloud’s cloud orchestration and provisioning tool that gives users complete control to configure, upgrade, downgrade, add or remove servers as needed; dinStorage D3, the company’s Amazon API-compatibleS3 cloud storage alternative that provides storage, wide-application compatibility and unlimited bandwidth; and dinHVD and webHVD, dinCloud’s virtual desktops that allow administrators to provision resources within minutes.
“Cloud solutions continue to gain popularity as businesses look to conserve resources by offloading data center management, while gaining the IT flexibility to meet their evolving business needs,” said Stephen Braat, vice president, cloud and managed solutions, CDW. “CDW’s hosted virtual desktop offering, powered by dinCloud, puts the direct benefits of cloud computing in our customers’ hands.”
dinCloud says using its products for a cloud migration will reduce monthly IT operating costs, enhance worker productivity and enable greater operational flexibility.
“CDW’s cloud services team is extremely knowledgeable and are among the most experienced professionals in the industry,” said David Graffia, vice president of sales, dinCloud. “Now, CDW can help businesses utilize an enterprise-class, high-performance platform that generates cost savings, increases operational efficiency and provides enhanced security, along with a business continuity and disaster recovery strategy.”
dinCloud’s own channel program consists of resellers, VARs, systems integrators and MSPs, who can sell the gamut of cloud services, from desktop as a service to infrastructure as a service, plus cloud backup and recovery services.
Next up is a team-up between cloud provider RingCentral and distributor Tech Data Corp.
RingCentral’s cloud communications offering now will be available to customers through Tech Data’s StreamOne Solutions Store.
