The company offered tours of the 22,000-square-foot facility at a ceremony Wednesday night. The new data center accommodates Windstream’s full suite of cloud computing, data storage and managed services.
"As more companies realize the benefits of cloud-based services, the demand for the industry-leading solutions that Windstream provides has skyrocketed," said Chris Nicolini, Windstream senior vice president of data center operations. "Our data centers are built to the highest specifications, and with the level of smart solutions and personalized service that Windstream offers, our Nashville data center customers are afforded the most secure and solid service available."
The facility includes 10,000 square feet of raised floor data center space; a Tier 3 modular design for expansion; secure customer cages and cabinets; around-the clock NOC support; biometric security systems; and redundant power feeds and generators.
This is Windstream’s 27th data center, with SSAE 16 and PCI DSS-compliant enterprise data centers strategically positioned in various locations throughout the United States.
