Ohio Diversity & Leadership Conference Will Honor Rosales-Peterson

The Ohio Diversity & Leadership Conference has announced that they will honor Mayka Rosales-Peterson at their 2021 event. She will be recognized as a DEI Champion. The award honors professionals who are passionate about creating an impact in the field of diversity and inclusion and fostering change for ages to come.

“It’s an absolute honor to be recognized by the Ohio Diversity & Leadership Conference as the DE&I Champion for 2021,” Rosales-Peterson told Channel Futures. “I’m grateful and humbled.”

“I will always use my voice to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in tech, not only because it is the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do.”

Rosales-Peterson is the senior manager for AppSmart’s managing partner program and no stranger to recognition for her DE&I advocacy. In August, she was among the inaugural members of the Channel Futures DE&I 101. Her work has also been recognized on Columbus Business First’s Power 100.

A member of the Channel Futures Editorial Advisory Board, Rosales-Peterson was a panelist for Channel Futures’ first DE&I workshop in May 2021. She also on the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Channel Women and is chair of the Communications Committee.

The 2021 Ohio Diversity & Leadership Conference will take place Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.  Featuring more than 60 speakers who will address a variety of topics, the conference will provides organizations with an opportunity to explore tools and resources necessary to build a diverse workforce and remain competitive on the global stage.
