Canalys Forum Comes to North America
Top execs from HPE and Dell will make their way to Palm Springs in November.
With senior leaders from HPE, Lenovo and Microsoft as featured keynote speakers, Canalys is expanding its channel events into North America this November with the goal of helping MSPs redefine their businesses in the coming year and seize on new opportunities.
Canalys, home to the tech channel’s most knowledgeable industry analysts, will help attendees in five key areas the company has identified as critical to the future of the MSP ecosystem. These include elevating MSP excellence, the future of the MSP model, M&A, the evolution of distribution, and sales and marketing mastery.
For details on each of those content pillars, attendees will hear the following:
Elevating MSP Excellence: Identifying key performance metrics that distinguish top-tier MSPs, offering a blueprint for excellence in the industry.
The future of MSPs: Delving into both short-term and long-term trajectories, exploring the evolution of hybrid models, specialization opportunities and the ascent of the broker MSP.
M&A insights: Offering a comprehensive overview of the merger and acquisition activities unfolding in the region.
The evolution of distribution: Navigating the changing distribution landscape within the realm of managed services.
Sales and marketing mastery: Providing best practices to empower MSPs in enhancing lead-generation and marketing strategies for sustainable growth.
The Canalys Forums have dominated international markets for many years with the largest independent events for channel partners, distributors and senior vendor managers in EMEA and APAC. The North American Canalys Forum is Nov. 13-15, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, in Palm Springs, California. For more information: Canalys Forums North America 2023.

The agenda features a diversity of topics, including discussions on MSPs, cybersecurity, cloud, the channel and sustainability. The headline sponsors include Dell Technologies, HPE and Lenovo. Other prominent vendors attending and sponsoring include AMD, IBM, Okta and Trend Micro.
Core to the event is an analyst-led agenda from Canalys, which has the largest group of experts specializing in channel-focused data and insights. The firm offers partners independent and impartial content geared toward the channel ecosystem. In addition, during the event, channel partners will participate in one-on-meetings with key technology vendors and suppliers. Partners can access Canalys research insights here.
With a theme of “Making Waves,” the content and discussions will concentrate on discovering ways to grow and improve financial health and stability in a challenging market. A key element of that will be how MSPs and channel partners can make waves with new technologies, business models and ecosystems.
Earlier this month, Informa Tech, the parent company of Channel Futures, closed the deal to acquire Canalys, which was announced in July. The company said the move strengthens and complements Informa’s position as a leading provider of market insights and establishes Informa as a global player in channel research with an unrivaled view of the business and consumer components market and a strong presence in Asia.
In addition to the Canalys North America Forum, the Channel Futures Leadership Summit will take place Oct. 30-Nov. 2, in Miami, where the entire channel will gather to discuss the biggest issues of the day facing agents, technology advisors, MSPs, VARs and SIs. The fall event is hosted by the Informa division which publishes Channel Futures and organizes the Channel Partners Conference & Expo and MSP Summit. The Leadership Summit features a special celebration of the Channel Futures MSP 501, honoring the industry’s top-performing managed services organizations along with recognition for lifetime achievement, MSPs and executives of the year.
Informa Tech is part of the publicly traded Informa plc, which operates a wide range of technology-focused digital media platforms, events and Omdia research and consulting. Inform Tech’s brands include Dark Reading, Light Reading, Black Hat, Enterprise Connect, Channel Partners Conference & Expo and Channel Futures.
