Communications solutions provider Carrier Access Inc. has acquired Tektivity, a technology services company based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The companies will combine their complementary services into one product offering.
“Telecom and computer technology are coming closer together. With this move, we can now set ourselves apart by being more for our clients; essentially, by being their guide to all of their technology, rather than just one facet of it,” said Brendan Phelps, founder and president of Carrier Access.
“The move allows both Tektivity and Carrier Access to leapfrog the competition by offering a complete technology service line,” said Doug Flugum, original founder and president of Tektivity.
Carrier Access, which sells telecom services, cloud, mobility, IT services and more through partners, will maintain its current office in the Des Moines, Iowa, area, as well as Tektivity’s office in Cedar Rapids.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
