CenturyLink Preps Structure, Leadership Ahead of Level 3 Merger
CenturyLink has announced its organizational structure and the executive leadership that will be in place once its acquisition of Level 3 Communications is completed.

CenturyLink on Thursday announced its organizational structure and the executive leaders who will report to President and COO Jeff Storey once it completes its acquisition of Level 3 Communications, anticipated this fall.
The COO organizational structure will include five business units and several functional support groups. The business units and their leaders will be:
Strategic enterprise, federal government and state government — Edward Morche
Global accounts management (GAM) and international — Laurinda Pang
Small and midsize business (SMB), local government and education — Vernon Irvin
Wholesale and indirect — Lisa Miller
Consumer — Maxine Morea
Supporting these business units and ongoing integration activities will be the following functional support groups:
Technology, product development and security operations — Aamir Hussain, executive vice president of product development, platforms and infrastructure
Transformation and integration — Clay Bailey, senior vice president of transformation and integration
North America operations — Richard Batelaan, executive vice president of North America operations
Marketing — Storey plans to name an executive vice president and chief marketing officer at a later date.
“I believe these decisions will position us well to compete in the marketplace and provide outstanding service to our customers,” said Glen Post III, CenturyLink’s president and CEO. “I am confident in the future of the combined company and look forward to bringing together the talented teams from CenturyLink and Level 3.”
