Infinigate is bringing its 2022 distributor acquisition of Nuvias, along with those of Vuzion and Starlink, under under one new brand.

The Swiss firm said the new brand reflects Infinigate’s new identity “as a leader in cybersecurity distribution, with an EMEA scope and global ambition.”

“We are making rapid progress in terms of the integration of the VADs acquired over the past year. We are now a pan-EMEA organisation but our ambition is global. We plan to expand further,” said Infinigate CEO, Klaus Schlichtherle.

Infinigate has been on a spending spree in recent years. Prior to the 2022 distributor acquisitions, it snapped up the UK’s Cloud Distribution, Belgium’s Deltalink and Romania’s Netsafe.

“Our ongoing integration is progressing rapidly and our teams have been working together for several months. Nuvias’ previously acquired companies had already started the integration process so we were at an advantage there,“ said Schlichtherle. “There is a lot of synergy between the companies and we complement each other rather than overlap. So the integration is a natural and easier process. We’ll complete the integration by year end and systems integration over the next couple of months. We have been quite aggressive with our goals and timelines. Starlink, our MEA organisation, will adopt the branding a bit later.“

Schlichtherle admitted that integrating the different entities takes time for people to get to know each other and align styles of working. But he said they “all have a very similar approach to business so that is an advantage. We’ll complete the integration by year end and systems integration over the next couple of months. The teams will continue to improve their collaboration on an ongoing basis.“

Focus on Cybersecurity Post Distributor Acquisition

The exec said Infinigate’s focus on cybersecurity provides an advantage in terms of differentiation and specialism.

“The cybersecurity market is full of promise and there’s plenty of of room for growth for us and our vendors and partners. The channel has a huge opportunity with respect to the cybersecurity market in EMEA. Approximately 70% of cybersecurity [goes] through the channel in EMEA,” said Schlichtherle.

The rebrand includes a new logo and tagline: “Spark your growth.”

“We are a ‘growth partner’ rather than merely a distributor,” maintains the firm.

“The new brand represents us all, across the group, and marks an important milestone for Infinigate. We have gone through an amazing evolutive process; we are now pan-EMEA VAD with a global vision and we need a new fresh brand to reflect that.“

The distributor said it is on track to meet its goal of 2.2 billion Euros (US $2.42 billion) for the current financial year and 5 billion Euros (US $5.51 billion) by 2027.

“We have been growing at 20% yearly over the past 15 years and we plan to sustain our trend,” said Schlichtherle.
