Infoblox Purchases SnapRoute to Accelerate Services Suite
Infoblox is always looking for potential partner and M&A opportunities.
Infoblox has acquired network operating system (NOS) developer SnapRoute to expand the services on its BloxOne platform.
Infoblox’s BloxOne enables the delivery of cloud-managed secure network services at scale. With SnapRoute’s cloud-native OS, Infoblox now will be able to accelerate the development and delivery of additional network services. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Infoblox partners with MSPs, resellers and technology alliance partners.
Infoblox’s Kanaiya Vasani
Kanaiya Vasani, Infoblox‘s executive vice president of products and corporate development, tells us SnapRoute “shares our vision of delivering a cloud-native platform that combines networking and security services with the scalability, flexibility and speed that today’s enterprises demand.” SnapRoute’s technology, IP and team will help Infobox accelerate its ability to expand the suite of services it offers as it creates a “truly next level network experience,” he said.
“This acquisition will bring new opportunities to our partners,” he said. “For example, this July, Gartner released a report predicting that the WAN edge and network security markets will converge into a new market, built on the secure access service edge (SASE) model. Our recently released BloxOne DDI solution and BloxOne Threat Defense solution are two examples of security services built on this SASE architecture. Moving towards a SASE model has been part of our company vision for a long time and this acquisition is the next step in moving towards a SASE future.”
Infoblox is always looking for potential partner and M&A opportunities to fill gaps in its tech stack or accelerate time to market for its solutions, Vasani said.
“As the SnapRoute technology and team is incorporated into our own, we will be able to roll out new services at a faster pace, delivering more value to our customers,” he said. “We view this as a strategic partnership rooted in creating cloud-native network security services, especially as more customers begin to move to the cloud and demand greater flexibility, security and speed.”
“Building from a cloud-native foundation is essential to providing the scalable and flexible services that businesses demand today,” said Dom Wilde, SnapRoute’s CEO. “Infoblox is the only company that has invested in building a truly cloud-native platform for networking and security services complementary to what we built at SnapRoute, and we couldn’t be more pleased to join the Infoblox team to help expand their services and capabilities.”
