The rumors are false. LabTech Software, an IT management tool provider in Ohio, has not been acquired. Here’s what I know — or what I think I know.

Back at the SMB Nation conference (Oct. 2-4, Las Vegas), rumors surfaced that LabTech had agreed to be acquired by an MSP software provider. We didn’t report specifics about the rumors because the sources were vague about terms of the alleged deal. But the takeover rumors continued in recent days, with several additional sources leaving me voice mails.

I’m finally comfortable enough to report the following: I’ve stumbled across some clear indications that LabTech has not been acquired, and is instead pursuing strong industry partnerships.

LabTech specializes in Windows network management and monitoring, with time sheets and ticketing capabilities.
