Workforce solution provider Beeline's parent company, Adecco Group, has acquired SaaS technology-enabled workforce solution provider OnForce as it looks to offer a single system of record for sourcing and managing freelance workforces. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Under the acquisition, OnForce’s cloud-based freelance workforce management platform will be integrated with Beeline’s workforce solutions portfolio, giving enterprises a one-stop shop for sourcing and managing independent contractors, according to the company.
“This is a perfectly complementary merger on every level—business, technical and cultural,” said Beeline President Doug Leeby, in a statement. “There is very little overlap between companies, and together we solve a massive business problem in a unique way. Companies will get direct access to just-in-time prevetted talent through private networks, which lowers costs and reduces time to source, while still complying with all policies and security measures.”
Both companies will maintain their individual identities and continue to function as they did prior to the merger, according to Beeline. The merger is not expected to directly impact either company’s relationships with current customers or partners.
“Contingent staffing has largely been treated as a procurement function for many years,” said OnForce President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Cannone. “However, the dramatic rise of independent contractors has opened a new world of possibilities for accessing talent directly, rather than through staffing agencies. The Beeline-OnForce merger will enable organizations to fully capitalize on this trend by managing all types of workers, for all jobs, in the entire extended workforce through a single system of record.”
OnForce recently released its updated Converge freelancer management system in March, which allows users to select and confirm work orders with freelance agents and contractors in the field. The company also celebrated its 10-year anniversary, during which time it has helped arrange more than 2 million individual work orders for businesses ranging from SMBs to large enterprises, according to OnForce.
