Zayo Group’s zColo has acquired MarquisNet’s 28,000-square foot data center in Las Vegas.

Thanks to the acquisition, the colocation provider zColo now operates 12 data centers across 11 markets.

Zayo said it will extend its fiber network into the Las Vegas facility, becoming the ninth carrier with a network presence.

The acquisition is Zayo’s 18th purchase of a company since its inception about four years ago. Late last year, Zayo completed its largest acquisition of 360Networks under a deal that the company said would create a bandwidth infrastructure provider with estimated annual pro forma revenues of $393 million.

Louisville, Colo.-based Zayo Group is a provider of fiber-based bandwidth infrastructure and colocation and interconnection services.
