Fusion Connect gathered SD-WAN unified threat management and remote work access capabilities onto the same device.

In June, Broadvoice released a suite of hosted communication and collaboration services to extend its business voice service. The Los Angeles-based hosted voice and data products provider launched the Broadvoice Unified Communications Suite to help businesses become more productive and efficient.
UC solutions provider Thinking Phone Networks now offers Sprint (S) Global Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) for businesses. In June, Thinking Phone Networks became the inaugural member of Sprint's Cloud Application Provider (CAP) Extranet program.
XO Communications (XO) in March launched a UC suite for its Hosted PBX (HPBX) service that is designed to increase user productivity regardless of location. The Herndon, Virginia-based telecommunications provider also noted that its HPBX service now automatically includes the WorkTime mobile Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) application.
8×8 (EGHT) in January unveiled an integrated Virtual Office (VO) and Virtual Contact Center (VCC) platform that is designed to bridge the gap between telephony, UC and contact center users. The cloud-based UC solutions provider said this platform could help companies boost their customer service levels and reduce the amount of time IT spends on basic "care and feeding" telephony tasks.
HP (HPQ) in March unveiled its HP Enterprise Cloud Services – Unified Communications. The company also announced a unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS).
In February, Mitel (MITL) added new features to its MiCloud UCaaS portfolio that are designed to help service providers quickly deliver cloud communications to their customers. The Ottawa, Ontario-based UC solutions provider said its new release, MiCloud 2.0, enables service providers to lower their total cost of ownership (TCO) because it streamlines the provisioning, management and support of Mitel users.
Vonage (VG) in March announced plans to acquire Dana Point, California-based UCaaS provider SimpleSignal for $25.25 million, approximately 1.5 times SimpleSignal's estimated 2015 revenues. Alan Masarek, Vonage's CEO, said the SimpleSignal acquisition "further positions Vonage as a leader in unified communications."
