Cloud voice platform company Alianza has announced an integration with Great Lakes Data Systems‘ (GLDS’s) WinCable subscriber management system.

Alianza and GLDS will work together to provide a cloud-based solution that offers both voice service delivery and back-office functions, including account creation, number activation, billing and customer service.

“The partnership and proven integration with Alianza will make it easier, faster and less expensive for small and large service providers to deploy and manage VoIP,” GLDS President Garrick Russell said in a prepared statement.

Kevin Dundon, Alianza’s executive vice president of business development, added he believes the integration can provide substantial value to broadband providers.

“We share a common vision with GLDS: make voice easy to deploy and manage. Integrating with GLDS’s cloud-based back-office and customer care solution helps broadband providers accelerate service deployment and reduce cost of operations,” he said.

What does the integration mean for broadband providers?

Alianza’s Cloud Voice Platform is a single-source solution that is designed to help broadband providers streamline their delivery of VoIP services, while GLDS offers broadband billing software and subscriber management solutions.

The new Alianza-GLDS integration, meanwhile, enables service provider staff to enter and retrieve subscriber information in a single back-office platform and provision the Cloud Voice Platform.

It also offers flow-through provisioning between the platforms that is supported via application programming interfaces (APIs) and can improve operational efficiency, according to Alianza.

“We believe that the lowest cost and most agile approach to broadband infrastructure can be found in the cloud,” Russell said.
