Barracuda Networks (CUDA) has rebranded its CudaTel enterprise telephony solution as the Barracuda Phone System, with new features including limited international locations and a simplified pricing plan.

The solution has also received AT&T SIP Certification, with Barracuda actively working to provide additional deployment options for its customers. (SIP, or Session Initiation Protocol, allows users to make calls via an IP network.) Barracuda said the solution’s compatibility with AT&T’s IP Flexible Reach service will allow customers to add additional user productivity and management features to its VoIP phone solution.

“We are pleased to have achieved this important certification with AT&T and are excited that we’ve started to expand the Barracuda Phone System platform to international locations,” said Ken Grohe, general manager of Emerging Products at Barracuda, in a statement. “Barracuda Phone System does away with per-user, per-feature licensing, giving customers access to all features available on every phone system model that Barracuda offers.”

In addition to adding AT&T Flexible Reach compatibility, Barracuda Phone System has been certified to work with both Patton analog and PRI SmartNode Gateways, according to the announcement. Barracuda is also the latest member of the Polycom Technology Partner Program, with all of its solutions deemed Polycom Ready.

To cap off the rebranding, Barracuda has added a new Communication Command Center feature to its system, which allows users to choose their preferred method for initiating, receiving and responding to business communications using their computers. The Command Center is controlled through a drag and drop feature.

The rebranded solution is available immediately and will set customers back $1399 for the appliance and $399 for additional Energize updates.

Earlier this year, Barracuda entered into a new partnership with Tech Data (TECD) to provide its portfolio to the distributor’s resellers in the United States. The company also expanded its global channel partner program with additional partner levels and benefits, including a program specifically for MSPs.
