Comarco said today at CTIA Wireless a new version of the Seven.Five Multi-technology Drive Test System is available with full HSDPA capabilities.

The Seven.Five comes with optimization, benchmarking and scanning modes for wireless telecommunications network testing.

“HSDPA is already being adopted worldwide and will be in wide use by the end of 2006,” said Greg Maton, senior vice president and general manager for Comarco Wireless Test Solutions. “Our new offering can handle everything from RF planning, competitive benchmarking, installation and pre-launch testing, to shakedowns, maintenance and QoS monitoring.”

HSDPA is said to be the fastest (up to 14.4mbps theoretical maximum speed) downlink technology available worldwide, and is generally thought to be the next major advance in wireless packet-based data service. Comarcos technology currently supports devices including the Sierra Wireless AC 850 and 860, and said it soon will support several additional devices.
