Companies Announce Support for Disney Mobile

Now that the Walt Disney Co. has announced the launch of its own MVNO and accompanying phone, several companies revealed today they have been contracted to help bring Disney Mobile to market.

Telcordia Technologies Inc. is hosting the MVNO with its platform that includes the converged application server and converged real-time charging software. The company will support Disney Mobiles Family Monitor feature that enables parents to control how long and to whom their children talk.

Meanwhile, Convergys Corp. and its partner Visage Mobile will provide outsourced billing and professional services to the new MVNO. Disney Mobile will use the Convergys Infinys rating and billing software; Visage Mobile will support customer care.

Finally, mobile phone distributor Brightpoint North America L.P., a subsidiary of Brightpoint Inc., will provide Disney Mobile with inventory management, custom packaging, reverse logistics and fulfillment services.

Disney Mobile is slated to launch in June.
