Dekolink Wireless Launches Repeater for UMTS Networks
February 12, 2007
Dekolink Wireless has launched the Deko3021U UMTS midi repeater, which is based on the Deko2121U mini repeater. The company is showcasing both UMTS RF repeaters at 3GSM World Congress this week in Barcelona.
Both repeaters provide 3G carrier networks with enhanced coverage solutions without adding base stations for in-building applications.
The Deko3021U is a UMTS channel-selective RF midi repeater that provides 30dBm composite RF output power with 80dB gain. It provides indoor coverage up to 10,000 square meters and can be utilized for outdoor applications as well.
The Deko2121U is a UMTS channel-selective RF mini repeater that provides 21dBm composite RF output power with 70dB gain and provides indoor coverage up to 5,000 square meters.
The Deko3021U and Deko2121U feature the self-optimizing SmartALC algorithm, which enables automatic integration in UMTS networks and protects the repeater from oscillations and out-of-band interference. SmartALC balances coverage and ensures error-free installations while maintaining a network-friendly architecture, Dekolink said. The switchable bandwidth feature allows users to select single, dual or three adjacent UMTS channels.
The units also provide remote monitoring and control managed by Dekolinks Deko-NMS, OMC solution or open architecture SNMP platforms.
Both units comply fully with 3GPP UMTS standard requirements.
