Jive Communications has acquired Easy Office Phone, a Burlington, Ontario-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider, for an undisclosed sum.

Under the terms of the agreement, Easy Office Phone employees will join Jive as part of its new Jive Canada team.

“Our customers across North America can still expect the same superior service, rely on the same responsive support team, and use the same user-friendly portal as before,” Easy Office Phone CEO Adam Simpson said in a prepared statement. “They’ll also have the added resources Jive brings to the table.”

In addition, Jive said its partners will receive support from the company’s US and Canadian operations, depending on location.

“We’re excited to welcome the Easy Office Phone team to Jive,” Jive CEO John Pope added. “They bring a substantial customer base that is accustomed to exceptional service and world-class voice quality. We intend to build on those expectations as we continue our expansion with Jive Canada.”

The Easy Office Phone acquisition represents one of many additions for Jive this year.

Jive previously acquired audio and web conference service provider Speek in June and hosted VoIP vendors COMVOICE and VocalNet in January.
