The company’s Mobile Manager was designed with direct input from educators and over 500 schools to help develop a mobile management solution for school districts.

To assist school districts with mobile device management, Lightspeed added more tools to its Mobile Manager solution. With hierarchical policy settings, education specific tools, and a user-friendly interface, the company claims to provide IT staff with the features necessary to efficiently manage mobile devices in schools. Additional tools include: remote wiping, integration with the Apple Volume Purchasing Plan, and centralized inventory, reporting, updates, and installs.

Mobile Manager also integrates with Lightspeed Mobile Filter — a filter that communicates Internet-browser requests from a mobile device to a Lightspeed server — and My Big Campus — the company’s social learning platform — to provide teachers with a safe way to incorporate mobile devices into their lessons.

Lightspeed Systems has been partnering with IT at staff schools since 1999. The company’s solutions are used in over 2,800 school districts for more than 9 million students. To partner with the company, visit its website for more information.
