It might not be getting the fanfare thats accompanied some other recent phone releases, but Verizon Wireless started selling the Samsung Gusto online this week. Youll see it in Verizon Wireless retail outlets soon.

Its display is just two inches, but the companies are marketing it as a good phone for messaging and voice enhancement, due particularly to its noise suppression technology. It offers a mobile Web browser and Bluetooth for hands-free talking. Better yet, the Gusto, clearly an entry-level device, is free after an online discount and a new, two-year service deal from Verizon Wireless. If you wait until it hit stores, itll set you back just $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and the service agreement.

Other features include a VGA camera with night shot and personal organizer with a calendar. Its also VZ Navigator-capable and accepts voice commands.
