The long-awaited Nokia Lumia Icon, only the second in the Finland-based manufacturer’s Lumia line to be offered by Verizon Wireless, is about ready to make its debut, much to the pleasure of the increasing number of business users and general consumers who’ve taken a liking to the Windows devices.

The Icon, known in its production phase as the Lumia 929, made its first appearance albeit apparently by mistake on Verizon’s website. The link, posted online by a number of tech sites on Wednesday, now redirects to a generic Verizon Wireless page.

We don’t know details yet about a price; a placeholder of $777 reportedly was on the briefly available webpage.

The specs, though, show that this could be Nokia’s best offering to date. Look for a five-inch display; a 2.2GHz, quad-core processor; 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM; and continuing the tradition of top-notch cameras a 20MP rear-facing offering. Most speculation points to a Jan. 16 release date.

Up to now, AT&T has been the beneficiary of most Lumia flagship phones, although the 928 a Big Red version of AT&T’s Lumia 920 made its Verizon debut last spring.
