Sprint (S) has announced a new approach to simplify how small businesses select mobile devices and plans. Whether just starting a new business, expanding with new employees or upgrading to the latest devices and mobile technology, Sprint offers a range of options for small businesses to “cut the cord” and take their offices to virtually wherever they need to conduct business.

This follows Sprint’s recent announcement of the formation of its Small Business specialty team to sharpen the company’s focus on the rapidly growing small business market segment by dedicating resources, customizing products and developing special offers for small business owners.

Sprint said the new approach will simplify how small businesses select the best devices and pricing plans to meet their specific needs. They can choose from popular and trusted business devices, including smart phones, Nextel Direct Connect phones and Mobile Broadband devices. Sprint said available pricing plans offer cost savings over comparable plans from AT&T and Verizon. Pricing plans include business-grade communications tools at a savings up to $720 per year for five-line accounts and $2,997 per year for 10-line accounts, over other providers, according to Sprint. Plans also pack in more value with unlimited Nextel Direct Connect and Group Connect, as well as unlimited Mobile to Office with unlimited domestic calling to and from a designated wireline number. Plus, for a limited time, customers will receive one month of free Mobile Broadband with activation of Mobile Broadband service and device as well as activation of new voice service.

Small businesses can enjoy additional monthly discounts by signing up for Sprint’s Volume Discounts for Business, or vertical and industry discount programs.

“Our mix of network assets, including a robust 3G network and expanding 4G footprint, and an expanding portfolio of business products best positions Sprint to deliver customized offers to meet the unique needs of business owners and their employees,” said Tom Shaughnessy, managing director of small business, Sprint. “Our approach offers more value, flexibility and simplicity than anyone else in the industry. We can help businesses cut the cord and save money by purchasing services based on the features they most use.”
