Synnex MobilitySolv: VP Adnon Dow Weighs In

Synnex (NYSE:SNX) MobilitySolv certainly caught The VAR Guy’s attention. Seeking more information about the mobility initiative, I sat down with Synnex Global Mobility Solutions VP Adnon Dow. Here’s the update for VARs.

MobilitySolv uses a three-phase strategy based on devices, connectivity, and secured access, leveraging the company’s partners and vendors to build bridges a fragmented industry, Dow said.

“Chaos, in my opinion, creates opportunity,” he said. “People are lost, including vendors. Lack of standards in mobility creates chaos, but not for those who have a vision and an end-to-end solution.”

Enter MobilitySolv — which allows VARs to generate recurring revenues in multiple ways. To promote MobilitySolv, Synnex is hosting 12 roadshows in just 8 weeks, pushing a company overview, mobility market dynamics, mobility market opportunities, Synnex program incentives, and vendor solutions and programs as parts of the agenda.

Synnex has already arrived in two destinations — one in Washington, D.C.,and the other in Miami, Fla. Dow said more than 20 VARS participated in the first event and 10 at the second.

Still, there’s plenty of competition in the mobile market, where rival distributors like Tech Data (NASDAQ:TECD), Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM), and Avnet (NYSE:AVT) have partner programs in place.

“Nothing is as holistic as we are,” he said. “We have created a mobility unit to deploy the sales and the end-to-end solution. We’re large enough to know you, but small enough to serve you.”
