Enterprise software testing solutions provider Tricentis announced a new partnership with end-to-end mobile application testing solutions provider Mobile Labs last week to streamline mobile app development and testing.

The partnership will allow mobile application developers to use and access both Tricentis Tosca Testsuite and Mobile Labs’ deviceConnect private mobile device cloud from remote locations for complete testing of mobile apps, websites and devices. The combination is expected to lower development and testing costs.

In addition, the companies noted that the deviceConnect solution is housed behind a corporate firewall, allowing IT to manage and make mobile testing assets remotely available while maintaining adherence to corporate security policies.

"With more than 2 billion mobile users, it's no wonder that developers are focused on creating efficiencies in the mobile application development process. The biggest challenge is that the mobile application development and testing process takes too long — especially in an agile development environment where applications are constantly upgraded and need to be tested," said Sandeep Johri, CEO, Tricentis in a prepared statement. "The Tricentis and Mobile Labs solution allows customers to affordably and quickly conduct automated mobile app, web and device testing with new software releases more affordably, in substantially less time."

Both companies were recently recognized as leaders in the mobile development space, with Mobile Labs being named one of Gartner’s ‘Cool Vendors” in 2013 and Tricentis being named as a visionary in Gartner’s 2013 Magic Quadrant for Integrated Software Quality Suites.

"Combining our solutions is a clear win for customers," said Don Addington, President and CEO of Mobile Labs. "It addresses big QA challenges including faster time-to-market and better software quality. In addition, customers can significantly reduce costs through higher productivity and more efficient use of devices across multiple testing centers. Further, the combination of Tosca Testsuite and deviceConnect gives mobile QA teams even greater flexibility to Test Their Way."
