Wirefly has expanded its product offerings to include netbooks. The company says it’s the first online retailer in the country to sell netbooks with embedded 3G wireless service from both AT&T and Verizon Wireless, currently the only two mobile-phone providers in the U.S. activating these mini-notebook computers.

“Because of the strong demographics of our customer base, our handset sales are heavily skewed towards smartphones. Adding netbooks to our product line was an easy decision because they fit our consumer demographic profiles perfectly. Just like smartphones, they appeal to a data-centric shopper, looking for the latest and greatest in mobile technology,” said Andy Zeinfeld, chief executive officer of Simplexity, parent company of Wirefly.com.

Wirefly.com will initially offer the Acer Aspire One with AT&T 3G service and the HP Mini 1151NR from Verizon Wireless, with pricing starting at $49.99 with a new, two-year contract. The company plans to broaden its netbook line-up as AT&T and Verizon Wireless continue to expand theirs.
