On Tuesday, Nov. 19, ADVODA hosted its seventh annual Toys for Tots drive. With the participation of more than 20 sponsoring vendors and sales partners, the event raised more than $10,000. Participants were divided into 10 teams and given cash, a list of toys and age ranges to purchase for, and two hours in which to shop until they dropped to meet the requirements on the list.
At the end of the two-hour shopping sprees, participants returned to the ADVODA offices to display their purchases, enjoy drinks and dinner, and engage in some good-natured ribbing about who did the best job of finding toys to meet the requirements on their respective lists. Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves served as judges, listening as each team gave their pitch as to why their toy selections were the best. At the end of the evening, participants assisted the Marines in loading all the toys into a military truck.
“Thanks to the support of our partners, our seventh annual ADVODA Toys for Tots event was a huge success,” said Ron Dunworth, founder and CEO of ADVODA. “Their contributions and support for the program mean that a lot of kids in Colorado will end up with a toy or two for Christmas.”
