Barracuda Networks Leader Named Palo Alto Networks President
Palo Alto Networks has added the newly created role of chief business officer.
Barracuda Networks and Palo Alto Networks unveiled big leadership changes on Tuesday. That includes Barracuda Networks president and CEO BJ Jenkins joining Palo Alto Networks as its new president.
Jenkins was Barracuda Networks’ president and CEO, and a member of its board since November 2012. He will continue serving on its board.

“I have watched Palo Alto Networks’ evolution from a disruptor in network security to the multiplatform cybersecurity category leader,” Jenkins said.
Hatem Naguib, Barracuda Networks’ COO since December 2018, has been appointed CEO and has joined the company’s board of directors.

“Barracuda has never been in a stronger position to take advantage of the opportunities ahead of us and our sales momentum is increasing each month,” Naguib said.
Thoma Bravo acquired Barracuda Networks in 2018 for $1.6 billion. Chip Virnig is a partner at Thoma Bravo.

“Hatem has been instrumental in the successful cloud transformation of Barracuda over the past few years through his vision and thought leadership for Barracuda’s leading security solutions and by continually expanding its operational capabilities to meet the security challenges faced by businesses and institutions today,” he said.
Palo Alto Networks Expands Management Team
In addition to a new president, Palo Alto Networks is moving Amit Singh to the new role of chief business officer. Singh has been Palo Alto Networks’ president since November 2018. Before that, he was Google’s vice president of business and operations for VR/AR.
Singh will focus on bolstering the strategic customer relationships in partnership with Jenkins on the company’s large deals. Additionally, he will partner with chief product officer Lee Klarich on driving the cross-functional delivery of Palo Alto Networks products.
Palo Alto Networks’ customer-facing leaders will continue in their current roles, reporting directly to Jenkins.
