Cedar Point Names Marketing VP

Cedar Point Communications, a provider of integrated VoIP switching technologies for service providers and enterprise telecommunications operators, announced today that Jeff Walker has been named vice president of marketing.

Walker will be responsible for leading the product marketing, product management, corporate communications and customer-facing application engineering teams.

Walker has spent the majority of a 30-plus-year career with Motorola Inc., separated by his tenure with RiverDelta Networks. As the vice president of marketing for RiverDelta, Walker oversaw the launch of the company’s flagship Cable Modem Termination System product and was instrumental in securing industry leadership for that product. He returned to Motorola to head up marketing for its Connected Home Solutions group upon the acquisition of RiverDelta by Motorola in 2001.

Walker holds a B.A. degree in economics from Kenyon College and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
