Inderhees on Monday started work at Appgate, which provides zero-trust network access software. He will build out the vendor’s MSP channel.

“I’m super excited to be here, and I’m super excited to work with with many of the MSPs that I’ve gotten to know over the years,” he wrote on LinkedIn.

Inderhees thanked Cisco for giving him an opportunity back in 2005, when he moved over from Cistera Networks. He started as senior sales business development manager for the Cisco global partner organization.

Channel partners and Cisco employees flooded Inderhees’ post with well-wishes.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in November.

“I still remember that day in 2018 when you explained to me why MSPs are critical to capture SMB segment,” said Anjana Kambhampati, Cisco’s senior product manager for growth and strategy. “With your advocacy and support we now have a great security story for our MSPs.”

He ultimately grew tapped into MSP partners to grow Cisco’s SMB networking and cloud security revenues by 30% year-over-year, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“Not only do the OEM and partner win, but the customer wins as well, and that’s one of the primary benefits that I have seen of the last few years. Cisco through Marc’s influence was wise to enter the MSP market early, and they worked diligently to help partners. Those efforts were noticeable, and to date it’s clear that the channel is a priority with the investments that we have seen over the years, and that has become even more clear in the last 12 months. It’s wonderful to see players like Cisco investing more in the MSP channel and getting serious about partnerships. Mark Inderhees’ efforts for laying the foundation are commendable, and I am personally I’m looking forward to seeing what Cisco has in store for the channel,” Fernandez told Channel Futures.

He’ll join Tina Gravel, Appgate’s senior vice president of global channels and alliances. She joined the company in 2020.
