Intelliverse Mourns Raveills Passing

By Cara Sievers

Paul Raveill, vice president of wholesale services at Intelliverse, died Dec. 23. He was 49.

Intelliverse said Raveill had been suffering for the past year from Sarcoidosis, a multiorgan disease, which attacks the organs when granulomas (masses of inflamed tissue or lumps) form and cause an abnormality. Because of the type of person Paul was, he didnt want to burden anyone else with his problems and downplayed the effect the disease was having on him, said Frank E. Paterno, vice president of marketing for Intelliverse. The actual cause of death was not disclosed.

Raveill is survived by his wife, Renee; son, Alexander,12; and daughters, Elyse, 14, and Lanie, 7.

Raveill came to Intelliverse in December 2006 from WilTel, where he was part of the founding team. He also held senior leadership positions at Premiere Global and Broadwing.

Paul was a gentle soul, mild-mannered, extremely polite someone I would best describe as the classic gentlemen, said Paterno. In an industry of loud and fast-talking salespeople, his genuine and calm nature was always appreciated and noted by those who worked with him.

Cassandra Hamilton, Intelliverses director of client implementation, also worked closely with Raveill. You could always ask Paul to do anything for you and he was always willing, she said. Paul was a gentleman and a great professional to work with and he will be missed by many.

Raveill grew up in Kansas City and began his career in Tulsa, Okla., where he met his wife. They have been living in Alpharetta, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta, for the past 12 years. Raveill was very active in his church and his community.

In remembrance of Raveill, Intelliverse has set up a trust fund for the family. Anyone wishing to contribute to the fund can do so in person at any Bank of America branch by asking to contribute to the Renee Raveill Family Trust Fund. Checks also can be mailed to:
